The Broom Hare (Lepus castroviejoi), also known as the Castroviejo's Hare, is a rare species of hare endemic to the Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain. It is named after the Spanish zoologist José Antonio Valverde Castroviejo. Unlike other hares, the Broom Hare has a more limited and fragmented distribution, making it vulnerable to various threats.
