The Chinese Pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) is a critically endangered mammal species found in several Asian countries. Due to illegal hunting and trafficking for their scales and meat, the Chinese Pangolin population has declined significantly. The exact remaining population is unknown but estimated to be decreasing. Conservation efforts involve strengthening anti-poaching and anti-trafficking measures, increasing public awareness, and promoting sustainable alternatives to the use of pangolin products.
