The Djibouti francolin (Pternistis ochropectus) is a small ground-dwelling bird endemic to Djibouti in East Africa that is facing extinction. The estimated remaining population of Djibouti francolins is very low, with fewer than 500 individuals remaining. Habitat loss due to agricultural expansion, overgrazing, and hunting are the main threats to their survival.
