The Nashville Crayfish (Faxonius shoupi) is a rare and endangered species of crayfish native to the Mill Creek watershed in Davidson County, Tennessee, USA. This species is the only animal whose entire range is located only in the greater Nashville area, being found exclusively in a single watershed, making it highly vulnerable to environmental changes and human activities. Habitat loss, water pollution, and competition with invasive species are the main threats to their survival. Conservation efforts involve habitat restoration, captive breeding, and reintroduction programs.
