Established in 2001, Prairie Wildlife Research (PWR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to researching and conserving wildlife species of the prairie and their habitats. PWR collaborates with federal and state agencies, universities, private landowners, and other NGOs throughout the Great Plains to conduct effective and economical studies that inform sound management decisions. Their projects encompass wildlife surveys, native species reintroductions, habitat enhancement, and resolving wildlife-related issues, focusing on all species inhabiting the prairie.
