Lebanon

Lebanon, located in the eastern Mediterranean region, has a diverse environmental landscape, with a variety of ecosystems ranging from dense forests to rocky mountains and coastal areas. The country is home to a wide range of plant and animal species, many of which are endemic or rare. Lebanon has over 2,600 documented plant species. The country is also home to over 400 bird species. Additionally, Lebanon has around 80 species of mammals. Despite its rich biodiversity, Lebanon faces various environmental challenges, including habitat loss and degradation, pollution, and climate change. The country has identified over 150 threatened and endangered species.
