Lithuania, located in northeastern Europe, has a diverse environmental landscape, with a variety of ecosystems ranging from dense forests to wetlands and coastal areas. Lithuania has over 2,000 documented plant species, including the rare and endangered Baltic seablite and the Lithuanian oak. The country is also home to over 300 bird species. Additionally, Lithuania has around 70 species of mammals. Despite its rich biodiversity, Lithuania faces various environmental challenges, including habitat loss and degradation, pollution, and climate change. The country has identified over 50 threatened and endangered species.
